A hemp-pioneering activewear and yoga label, rebranded around a single feeling:
the ZONE, that state of being fully present, focused yet effortless, calm yet alive.
The founder's story
Lydia Lassila competed across five Olympic cycles, training in almost every activewear brand on the market. Performance came first, and for years she never questioned the synthetic fabrics against her skin. The question came later, and it was personal: were they supporting her body, or quietly working against it? That question became ZONE by Lydia, a low-tox activewear and yoga label and a hemp pioneer, with garments made from 95% natural fibres.
OUR challenge
People don't act on features. They act on feeling, and that is the invisible thing every brand really sells. ZONE already existed, with products people loved, yet it could not make anyone feel what Lydia felt. Its identity was anchored in Alignment, the pathway but never the destination, so the feeling that made the brand matter had no name. And the category worked against it: loud, fast, and crowded with greenwashing.
OUR solution
We rebuilt the brand around the feeling it already owned but had never named: the ZONE itself. In the brand's own manifesto, it is the state of being fully present, focused yet effortless, calm yet alive. Alignment stayed the pathway; the ZONE became the destination, guided by one principle: less interference, more flow. Beneath it, the identity was structured through nature's own proportion and balance, an invisible order that lets ZONE feel calm rather than simply look it. From there came the system: a softened wordmark, an earthy palette of clay, sand, and muted green drawn from nature, five messaging pillars, and a complete set of brand guidelines.
The resultZONE now feels the way it was always meant to:
in the founder's own words, elevated, calm, and grounded. With the new identity in place and the latest range launched, it recorded the highest sales in its history across the end-of-financial-year period.
"The tone, visual direction and overall feeling are exactly where I want the brand to sit. It feels elevated, calm and grounded."
— Lydia Lassila, Founder, ZONE by Lydia
